Req#: 5329

Sonos is seeking an entry-level to mid-level UX designer to join our Partners and Platforms UX team in Boston! In this role, you’ll focus on the design and development of simple and delightful content and control experiences for Sonos smart speakers including voice and partner integrations on our Sonos Sound Platform. Driving and executing against the roadmap you’ll work with colleagues from Sonos UX design groups, user research, product management, and software development, as well as teams from our strategic voice, control, and content partners to create strategies, join in product visions and build compelling user experiences from concept to final product.
About You

More than a candidate that checks every box, we’re looking for people who are excited to work, learn, and grow at Sonos—no matter their background or how they identify. If that’s you, we hope you’ll apply for this role.

You want to be part of a team.

You come with new ideas and a unique point of view. You look forward to collaborating with a diverse team of individuals. You assume everyone’s best intentions, welcome a healthy debate, and embrace differing opinions. You eagerly seek and give help. Transparency tops your list of values, and you proactively contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion.

You enjoy a challenge.

Inquisitive and focused, you see every challenge as an opportunity. You’re ambitious and comfortable making mistakes because you learn from them and bounce back quickly. You would rather create the future than wait for it. You prioritize long-term value over short-term objectives.

You love to listen.

You approach every interaction with curiosity and a desire to understand. You want to make a positive impact in the world. You’re passionate about culture and know the power that music, film, podcasts, games, and stories have to bring people together.

What You’ll Do
You're a collaborative UX designer with a portfolio of engaging consumer products. You have proven experience leading projects and/or closely partnering with team members to deliver delightful user experiences and are fascinated with the intersection of software and hardware. You thrive to help drive creative experiences for users to control the rich content from our smart speakers, including voice. You have the interest and aptitude to grasp the underlying architecture of a complex system and translate it into simple and engaging user experiences. You prototype, test, and refine your ideas in innovative ways and constantly engage your partners in the process. You execute with relentless attention to detail, but can also work strategically to identify long term goals. You are a system thinker, adept at making products that work cohesively across multiple platforms. Through your strong communication abilities, you always ensure there is alignment across all disciplines and among all partners.
