Summer Internship 2020 | Supply Chain Optimization through Data and Systems (Boston)
Department: Business Operations
The Systems and Process team in Operations is responsible for ensuring that we have the right tools, data and automation to ensure our supply chain operates and grows efficiently. Examples include forecasting tools, sales data from our customers, managing our bills of material to support product development and production, and communicating with our partners – including contract manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners.
The internship will focus on enhancing our tools, so we can maximize what we can do with data they generate, align systems with business processes and assist in introducing new tools.

- Develop a method to integrate industry insights data into our development tools
- Develop a mechanism to control introduction of components during new product development
- Contribute to the introduction of a new supply chain simulation tool
- Assist in our company-wide effort to introduce a new ERP to Sonos

Understand why establishing a supply chain plan early in the design cycle can pay dividends upon Production release.
Gain an understanding of product life cycles from concept to prototype to production release to sustaining.
Problem solving - how to automate and use systems to improve inefficiencies.
Demonstrated experience with Product Life-cycle Management, Bill of Materials, Component Management, Sourcing (AVL - Approved vendors List)
