As a member of the Quality Team your role will be to help build the cloud-based microservices, player APIs, and quality engineering pipeline that ensure our customers and partners can create custom integrations with Sonos and access Sonos and third party services. Our goal is to ensure that we can rapidly release with high quality, iterate confidently and support our customers easily. As a member of the quality organization you should have a relentless drive to constantly measure and improve the quality of the experiences we are delivering to our customers.

What You’ll Do
Quality engineers on the team work on a cross-functional team as equal partners with our developers and systems engineers. The whole team is
responsible for designing, developing, testing, delivering, and supporting our features.

  • Engineer new automated testing methodologies & partner with developers to write automation code
  • Improve the development experience via automated pipelines that includes timely feedback and a seamless path to release-level quality
  • Add and democratize new forms of telemetry, data, and metrics to allow the team to measure, debug, and make decisions based on data
  • analytics and dashboards
  • Help ensure new code moves easily through our development pipeline
  • Work with the Operations teams when issues are found in deployed/production features
  • Help expand our engineering tool set which will help us measure the quality of our features as they get released to production 
Skills You’ll Need
  • Programming in an Object Oriented environment (Java, Javascript, Python, C++)
  • Ability to break down projects into iterative deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrive and not be afraid to move quickly, challenge yourself, ask questions, and learn from failure

Additional knowledge and expertise that will help:

  • Jenkins (or other CI build systems)
  • RESTful API testing
  • Building and using automated test frameworks
  • Basic data analytic skills in Kibana or DataDog
  • AWS, Ansible and Kubernetes
