About You

More than a candidate that checks every box, we’re looking for people who are excited to work, learn, and grow at Sonos—no matter their background or how they identify. If that’s you, we hope you’ll apply for this role.

You want to be part of a team.

You come with new ideas and a unique point of view. You look forward to collaborating with a diverse team of individuals. You assume everyone’s best intentions, welcome a healthy debate, and embrace differing opinions. You eagerly seek and give help. Transparency tops your list of values, and you proactively contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion.

You enjoy a challenge.

Inquisitive and focused, you see every challenge as an opportunity. You’re ambitious and comfortable making mistakes because you learn from them and bounce back quickly. You would rather create the future than wait for it. You prioritize long-term value over short-term objectives.

You love to listen.

You approach every interaction with curiosity and a desire to understand. You want to make a positive impact in the world. You’re passionate about culture and know the power that music, film, podcasts, games, and stories have to bring people together.

What You’ll Do
The UX team designs the simple and delightful Sonos experiences that enable our customers to enjoy music, movies and all types of sound throughout their home. Whether it be our cutting edge app, voice assistant integrations, or on-speaker control experiences, we empower listeners to hear and control what they want, where they want, how they want. You should apply to this position if...

  • You have a compelling portfolio of course work or internship projects. Whether you’ve helped design apps, physical devices, voice interactions or online experiences, we’re looking for you to have examples of how you approached your projects, the process you followed, the challenges you faced, and the simple, delightful experiences you created.
  • You have past experience and/or interest in working with senior designers, developers and product managers to ideate, design, prototype and refine new products.
  • Previous internship experience desired.
Skills You’ll Need
  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a focus on user experience design, user interface design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design or related areas of study.
  • Demonstrated ability to receive and synthesize feedback.
  • Experience working and collectively collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Aptitude to design experiences that are both pleasurable and easy to use.
