Sr. Technical Recruiter (Contract)

Department: Human Resources and Talent

Location: Seattle

Req#: 4714

For the past 16 years, we’ve changed the way that people listen. We’ve designed the ultimate home music experience. Now we strive to empower listeners, everywhere.

This would not have been possible without the amazing team we have built thus far and continue to build.  Our people are the drivers and passion behind our pioneering technology that helped create this fast-growing market space.

For this contract role, we are looking for a strategic, creative and action-oriented Talent Acquisition professional.   We are the Talent Advisors to our Product Development hiring leaders.  We partner with them to efficiently grow our engineering organizations, finding the best and the brightest team members to grow our band.

Traditional will not work. Sonos has large growth ambitions and in this role, you will have tangible impact on our future success. If you love music, and want to work with a lot of really fun, smart and focused people, then we’d like to talk to you.

About You

You're not like everyone else.

You bring a unique perspective to the table. Transparency tops your list of values. Your smarts and creativity are off the charts, matched only by your humility. You want to collaborate with a team of diverse talent. You proactively contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion.

You enjoy a challenge.

Inquisitive and focused, you see every challenge as an opportunity. You're ambitious and unafraid to make mistakes because you learn from them and bounce back quickly. You don't stop until you get it right. "Impossible" isn't in your vocabulary. You're more interested in creating the future than waiting for it.

You love to listen.

You start every interaction from a place of listening and seeking to understand. You're culturally connected. You remember your first concert. You can readily recommend a binge-worthy show on Netflix, Hulu or HBO. You can't sit in traffic without a great audiobook, podcast or album. You can make a killer playlist. Your idea of a good weekend includes watching a movie or playing a video game.

What You’ll Do
Help us execute on an aggressive hiring goal.  Partner with hiring managers to translate business strategies into relevant talent strategies that address near term needs and yield long term benefits.  Through a process rooted in consistency and informed by data, we help leaders identify the “best” candidate for each role while creating a more diverse and inclusive Sonos.

Respect our candidates by personalizing the experience, getting to know the person (not the resume) and providing a transparent view of our people and culture, not just the role and hiring manager.

Highlight your passion for the industry.  That means intimate knowledge about competitors, current events, trends, target companies, relationships in open source network.

Skills You’ll Need
Must have corporate recruiting experience, specifically with technical roles.

  • Power to influence and drive toward results in a fast-paced environment
  • Creativity in problem-solving, resourcefulness across all stages of the hiring cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skills
  • Experience in compensation and general HR requirements as related to hiring
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly team-based environment, partnering with People Partners to strategically impact the business
  • BS/BA degree
How to Audition
Apply now and help us get to know you and why this is the right opportunity for you. Help us see how and where you put the experience first and how you connect with people. If there is a strong match, you'll be invited for a first phone interview
