As a member of the Cloud Software Quality Engineering team your role will be to ensure the quality of the cloud-based microservices, player APIs, and developer portal that allow our business customers to create custom integrations with Sonos and access Sonos and third party services. You will be a critical player in the validation of the business identity’s authentication and authorization experience. Our goal is to ensure that we can rapidly release high quality software, iterate confidently and support our customers easily.

What You’ll Do
  • Dive into our cloud services, learning through first hand experience
  • Monitor, debug, improve, and fix breakages within our automated & analytics infrastructure
  • Add and democratize new forms of telemetry, data, and metrics to allow the team to measure, debug, and make decisions based on data analytics and dashboards
  • Improve the development experience via automated pipelines that includes timely feedback and a seamless path to release-level quality
  • Partner with developers to write automation code
  • Engineer new automated testing methodologies
  • Own services from end-to-end by being part of the on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams when issues are found in deployed/production features
  • Be a voice of the consumer on the team and help hone the end user experience through thoughtful testing and validation
Skills You’ll Need
  • Demonstrated proficiency programming in an Object Oriented environment (Java, Javascript or Python)
  • Ability to break down complex problems into elegant, testable pieces
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with:
  • Jenkins (or other CI build systems)
  • RESTful API testing
  • Building out and using automated test frameworks (Spring, JUnit, TestNG)
  • Code repositories (Github, Perforce) / Test Case management (Testrail) / Jira

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with:
  • Authorization/Authentication
  • AWS, Kubernetes and Docker
  • Apigee, API gateway
  • Basic data analytic skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, challenge yourself, ask questions, and learn from failure
