What You’ll Do

You have been a tireless advocate for following site reliability engineering best practices to ensure the health and up-time of critical applications with code, not heroics. You have instilled this same quality in the other developers on your team. You have worked on improving the whole service life-cycle, from design through deployment and continuing operation. You care about the customer experience, and you have helped ensure that customers can access the services they want when they want them.

Skills You’ll Need
  • Concepts: Observability, measurability, configuration as code
  • Application Development: Experience with React, Mobx, Redux, Node, Webpack
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with best practices in continuous integration and zero-touch deployment. Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Docker
  • AWS: Experience with S3, ELB, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation
  • Languages/Formats/Standards: bash, python, javascript/node.js, golang a plus; json, yaml, Jenkins Job Builder (JJB); TLS/SSL and certs, IAM, Configuration Management a big plus (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Monitoring: Experience with any of: Cloudwatch, cloudhealth, stackdriver; ELK; alerting, automated escalation policy
