We are excited to be working on a new software platform to diagnose issues in a customer’s Sonos systems and networking environment and we need help! We are looking for an advocate for site reliability engineering best practices to help us ensure the health and up-time of our applications with code, not heroics. You'll have a direct impact on the business, advancing a major component of our core strategy. Come help us design and build these new tools, with reliability and scalability in mind.

What You’ll Do

You will be part of a team that has recently launched an AWS serverless application using React, Mobx, Redux, Node, and Webpack that helps our customer care team provide faster assistance to our customers. You will help us improve the whole service life-cycle, from design through deployment and continuing operation. We care deeply about the customer experience, and we are looking for a senior engineer with a focus on site reliability and devops who can help us ensure that customers can access the services they want when they want them. Since this is a fairly new project, you will have the opportunity for substantial influence over the architecture and design of our pipelines, monitoring, and alerting for this strategically critical project.

Skills You’ll Need
  • General Concepts: Observability, measurability, configuration as code.
  • CI/CD: Best practices in continuous integration and zero-touch deployment. Experience with some number of: Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker
  • AWS: S3, ELB, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation
  • Languages/Formats/Standards: bash, python, javascript/node.js, golang a plus; json, yaml, Jenkins Job Builder (JJB); TLS/SSL and certs, IAM, Configuration Management a big plus (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Monitoring: Experience with any of: Cloudwatch, cloudhealth, stackdriver; ELK; alerting, automated escalation policy
