Senior Designer, Global Brand

Department: Marketing

Location: Santa Barbara

Req#: 5552

In early May, Sonos began rolling out this new brand identity and voice, starting with a new global brand campaign with ads in Times Square, Rolling Stone magazine and other prominent placements around the world–as well a design refresh of key digital touch points like the brand’s global Instagram account, customer emails, and a new, completely redesigned website.

The new Sonos brand identity puts a fresh spin on the look and feel of the brand with a new approach to using color, illustration, typography, and some new design tools built with the future in mind.

The Global Brand Digital Team is the creative nucleus for the GTM team, focused on design and experience. We define the brand vision; how the brand should look, sound and feel. We build tools for other teams to bring this vision to life. We engage deeply with those teams to ensure that the tools are useful and being used.

People who come to work on this team will find themselves working in a creative studio atmosphere with art, inspirational imaging, color, and the like adorning their day to day working environment.

As a member of the Global Brand Digital Team, your purpose as a senior designer is to launch new products, commercial offers, brand stories through sonos.com and CRM. You will constantly replenish customer and owner education through a balance of page and image design, user experience, video creation and CRM series. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the ‘Global Creative Director’ and work closely with Brand Digital Junior Designer and Copywriter.

You will partner closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. You know how to provide initial design direction and work through refined, detailed specifications. Because of your experience, you have the ability to apply the brand identity and digital design system across a variety of creative communications. As a senior leader, you are well-versed in presenting design concepts, actioning feedback and maintaining brand standards. You create connections with other design teams at Sonos to guarantee consistency and quality in our digital channel
