What You’ll Do
Own retail marketing and support activation,  including every touch point direct to consumer, from a shop experience to activation events or store merchandising. Support regional level marketing to drive increased market share of Sonos products by developing, implementing and measuring specific promotions and marketing plans. 
Skills You’ll Need
  • Define and drive the retail strategy for Sonos including: channel priorities and budget allocation.
  • Direct in-store visual merchandising and lead development of experiential activities that showcase the unique value proposition for Sonos to generate demand and sales with strong ROI.
  • Drive thought leadership and transformation of the retail experience for the category that Sonos is leading which in return will drive conversion at key points of sale.
  • Understand the consumer and marketplace dynamics impacting the Wireless Music streaming category. Drive agreement on key channel objectives for the brand and products with account teams and accounts.
  • Develop a close working relationship with brand team, sales team,  global marketing team, external vendor and the retailers.
  • Develop marketing plans for respective retailers/partners based on collaboration with sales teams. Plans will encompass the Sonos and partner goals/expectations (from launch to phase out or end of life), be differentiated by account and ensure in-store brand ownership, category assortment, promotions, merchandising, interactive display, sales contest, etc.
  • Understand the levers for driving share and revenue at the account level (e.g. on price, shelf presence, display, features, promotions, convenience, etc.)
  • Understand consumer purchase habits by account and product; and help establish a Go To Market strategy that tells the Sonos story: In-Store, On-line, and On-Ad.Required Experience: Retail Experience - channel or category; 8-10 years relevant experience.
  • Strong project management skills. Experience developing efficient work plans for complex projects involving many groups. Effectively coordinate and implement plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong collaboration skills - ability to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate to achieve specific goals.
  • Proven analytical experience with sales, trend analysis, tools development to help drive accurate sell through forecasts.
  • Be creative to think out of box channel idea and to maximize consumer’s opportunity to experience our product.  Be resourceful.
  • BA or equivalent degree/work experience required.
