Beta Program Management lives at the crossroads of support, product, marketing, development, and our testers. As the Senior Beta Program Team Manager, you will play an integral role in evolving and improving the way we plan, execute, communicate, and report on Beta programs.


This position will play a key role in keeping Product, Development, Logistics and PR aligned on processes the team will use to track test cases, tester feedback, experience gaps, technical issues, and risks. This leader will adapt and enhance our Beta program governance and processes to align the work of each organization as we continue to explore a broader range of opportunities to accelerate our growth. This leader will manage a team of 7-9 Program Management professionals who ensure we deliver quality software and hardware products.

What You’ll Do

    • Work across all functions at Sonos to ensure alignment and support of the process used to Beta test new products and features.
    • Collaborate with product and program leadership across the company to establish and improve the way we report and track tester feature insights. 
    • Manage a  broad range of Program Managers to effectively lead the execution of Beta programs involving software, hardware, partnerships and marketing initiatives.
    • Monitor and audit project communications, surveys, and plans for the Beta team. 
    • Create new processes that allow us to test products quickly still ensuring a high level of quality. 
    • Partner deeply with product to promote a system of equality in voice and influence between organizations.  Ensure a balanced and fully aligned perspective on testing progress and issues is effectively communicated throughout the company.
    • Evolve and improve the mechanisms for Beta testing, providing enough visibility and oversight into which features require testing.
    Skills You’ll Need
    • 10+ years’ experience as a fully program or product manager for complex programs, and several years of experience in leading an overall program or product management function.

    • Strong track record of creating empowered, agile program teams with proper oversight and communication to enable fast decision making. 

    • Proven track record of coaching and developing people and teams - especially in globally diverse, fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environments. 

    • Program leadership experience bringing complex, game-changing products to high-volume manufacturing or market introduction.


    Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-haves):

    • Consumer electronics experience.

    • Technical/Engineering background.

    • Strong collaboration and experience communicating and influencing at the highest level of an organization.

    • Experience working with JIRA, Tableau, Qualtrics, Centercode and Confluence.
