Program Manager

This position will be responsible for global program management of go-to-market (GTM) programs.  

This will require gaining alignment across multiple functions including Marketing, Retail & Online Sales, Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing & Supply Operations, Regional Operations, Quality, Finance, Product Development and Customer Care in support of delivering world class results. GTM programs can include new product launches, sales promotions, country/market expansion, partner retail programs, and more. This is a mid-level position and appropriate for someone with 3-4 years of Program Management experience. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Program Management.

You will be working on multiple programs simultaneously, capably managing priorities and effectively communicating with teams, while working to advance best-practices, ensure consistency and quality across all programs.

What You’ll Do
  • Create and lead high performing teams
  • End to end program planning, execution and management
  • Create and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including program plans, risk registers, program performance tracking, and best practices documents.
  • Conduct team check-ins and run meetings; review program status with senior Sonos leaders.
  • Provide regular and relevant communications
  • Ensure resource availability, allocations, and alignment
  • Proactively solve day-to-day problems and exercise good judgment, including the determination of when to escalate issues
Skills You’ll Need
  • Leadership: You lead the team to align on program strategy, direction, and plans. You create and manage an optimal team structure, while maintaining clear roles and responsibilities.   You are supremely collaborative; you work well with a broad range of personalities, and you are not afraid to hold people accountable, even those with whom you do not have a supervisory relationship. You are willing to own open issues and drive resolution.
  • Big picture thinking:  You see the bigger picture but are comfortable diving into the weeds.  You work to help the team understand and acknowledge how each team member fits into the larger system and contributes to overall objectives. You focus on shared understanding.
  • Communication: You provide clear and concise communications across oral and written mediums to a variety of leaders, teams and individuals. You have the ability to push and pull information from the right people, at the right time. 
  • Prioritization and problem-solving: You are a self-starter, active listener, learner, and you “get stuff done.”   You work with subject matter experts to identify goals across multiple functions, connecting the dots, understanding conflicts, and you focus on identifying misalignment.
  • Adaptability and tolerance:  You work to reconcile differences and create acceptable compromises between teams and between team members, translating information into terms each will understand.  You manage risks across programs and the business, allowing the best solutions to come forward.  You are comfortable with uncertainty/ambiguity.

Other: 
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Program Management or complex Project Management role with demonstrated knowledge of program management principles, practices and procedures.
  • You are structured, detail oriented, and you are an amazing planner
  • You have knowledge of and experience with GTM functional groups
  • University degree required
