At Sonos, Product Managers work with a talented and passionate team of engineers, designers, marketers, and other product managers both inside and outside of Sonos to turn innovative ideas into shipping products. 

As a Software Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on software programs across hardware, software and partnerships; these range from the sound and physical interaction experience, to in-app features like music search and Trueplay, to extending the Sonos experience through partner products and ecosystems, including voice assistants, music services, home automation, and more.

What You’ll Do
  • Gather and define requirements for software features and/or partner APIs and work with agile software teams to deliver on them.
  • Research, analyze, and forecast technology, partner and consumer trends and identify new opportunities and areas where Sonos can address unmet or unanticipated needs.
  • Work with your internal team and/or external partners to make the day-to-day experience and execution tradeoffs to create great products that ship: understand the limitations of what technology can do and challenge our designers and engineers in areas where we can stretch to achieve more.
  • Work with user experience and user research teams to ensure an outstanding Sonos experience across the entire ecosystem of products, platforms and applications.
  • Set, track and maintain goals and experience and quality metrics for feature and system performance.
  • Build, measure, learn: you'll use modern experimentation techniques to learn if new features drive the right outcomes for customers and the business
  • Conceive and refine product capabilities through use of qualitative and quantitative inputs.  Be comfortable wallowing in big data and talking to customers to further inform your thinking

Skills You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications:
·  You are completing or have recently graduated with a degree in computer science, business, design, or a related field of study or experience.
·  You must have at least 6 months of previous work experience in the software field OR have completed at least one internship in a role focused on shipping a software-based product.


Preferred Qualifications:
·  You are not afraid of the new and unknown; you embrace ambiguity, know what you don’t know, and have a passion for asking questions, learning new things, and putting that knowledge to use.
·  You quickly adjust to new information and feedback, take ownership, and resolve issues on your own.
·  You have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate both business/user value and complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
·  You know how to collaborate, inspire, and get the best work out of a team. You have a history of leading successful team projects, with positive outcomes – even when things don’t always go right.
·  Familiarity with agile software development, with experience as an agile product owner or other member of an agile software team is preferred.
·  A passion for music and creating great products is a must!
