We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated candidates with strong network troubleshooting and implementation skills to join our organization as a Network Engineer. The role will be an integral part of a global Infrastructure Services team which builds secure and scalable Infrastructure, while supporting the rapid expansion of our business.

The position will be part of a nimble team that designs, implements, and supports Sonos’ global networking infrastructure. As a member of the Infrastructure Services team, Sonos will invest in your continued training to support the team goals.

What You’ll Do
  • As a member of the networking team, you will: 
    • Deliver consistent, reliable, scalable, and performant network services to our global locations
    • Work closely with the Security Operations team to ensure the integrity of Sonos’ assets
    • Develop and document best-practices for network service delivery to all global locations 
    • Extend current efforts in monitoring, alerting, escalation, and automation
    • Manage a growing network of 20+ global sites covering North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia
    • Drive enhancements to existing sites though implementation of best-practices
    • Build and operate tools to automate network infrastructure in both private and public clouds (AWS)
  • Work with Sonos bandmates to further our mission of filing every home with music
Skills You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited University in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in network support, operations, and implementation
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Subnetting, wireless (802.11) troubleshooting
    • Knowledge of firewalls, routing protocols, and load balancing is a plus
  • Functional knowledge of Active Directory, Windows and MacOS desktop operating systems
  • Working knowledge Software as a Service concepts
    • Experience supporting XaaS is a plus
  • Working knowledge of modern scripting and automation tools (eg. bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • CCNA/CCNP or equivalent experience
  • The right person must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal direction
