Mechanical Product Realization Leader (Supply Chain)

We are looking for a seasoned product supply chain leader who can bring transformational leadership capability and focus to our new product realization activity.  This is a new, high visibility function at Sonos that will play an instrumental role in developing the company’s capabilities to create amazing, uniquely differentiated acoustic hardware products – as well as the high performance supply chains needed to deliver them to the world.  This position will also play a key role in developing, influencing and aligning our longer-term manufacturing, sourcing, and technology strategies across the supply chain and product development organizations

What You’ll Do

  • Build and develop a team of senior leaders who can successfully lead cross-functional supply chain product teams to deliver major new product programs with high impact – from exploration phase to mass production. 
  • Deeply partner with product development to understand, influence, and enable future product and technology roadmaps and strategies.
  • Develop, influence, and align key product supply chain strategies – including global manufacturing and key component/technology sourcing – across product development and supply chain organizations. 
  • Identify and align strategic manufacturing/supply chain investment areas and plans with future supply chain capability requirements needed to differentiate our products.
  • Develop and lead a process to regularly assess our current supply chain team capabilities versus future needs, and use the outcome to align and prioritize hiring and development activities across product supply chain functions. 
Skills You’ll Need

  • 15+ years experience designing, building and leading high performance teams within fast growing, highly innovative and progressive environments.  
  • Proven track record coaching and developing people and teams - especially in globally diverse, face-paced, dynamic, and demanding environments. 
  • Broad leadership experience bringing complex, game-changing products to high-volume manufacturing.  Technical background with progressive leadership roles in manufacturing operations, new product introduction/development, and/or strategic sourcing is highly desired.
  • Broad, strategic, and creative thinker with a track record of progressive thought leadership. 
  • Strong collaboration skills - ability to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve specific goals.
  • Engineering degree with graduate degree in engineering or business is desired.

  • Consumer electronics experience.
  • Masters in Engineering.
  • Experience traveling and working in Asia.
