Radio Engineer Intern

Sonos is looking for a Radio Engineer Intern. We’re looking for candidates pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with a theoretical background in RF engineering, Electronic circuit theory, electromagnetics or communication theory. If you can demonstrate a solid grounding in some core technical basics, intellectual curiosity, an ability to climb a steep learning curve along with an attitude for just getting stuff done, then we’re interested in hearing from you! 

What will we give you? 
A work experience you can carry on your resume. You will leave Sonos having worked on great products, having learned how we design and test them, having learned how to use our basic tools (CAD, code writing and management, test methodologies, 3-D printers etc.) and how we achieve best in industry product quality and levels of customer satisfaction. You will be mentored by senior engineers who will help you learn career advancing skills.

What You’ll Do
What do we need of you? 
A willingness to learn, help our senior engineers with some of their work e.g. product testing and jump in where needed. 

Skills You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications
  • Demonstrate a reasonably deep technical knowledge of your favorite engineering topic. For example: EE disciplines of Microwave/RF engineering.
  • Familiarity of circuit simulation tools.
  • Basic understanding of RF systems and Link analysis.
  • Fundamental understanding of RF circuits such as PAs, LNAs, Mixers, PLLs, etc.
  • Working knowledge of PCB design, antenna design and RF matching networks.
  • Basic knowledge of RF test and verification equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, frequency/function generators.
  • Display courage to innovate and not be afraid to admit or make mistakes.
  • Ability to illustrate competency in some technical discipline that you care about and willingness to learn one or more of the disciplines important to us.
