Global Payroll Analyst

Sonos is seeking a Global Payroll Analyst to join our fast-paced, high performing Global Payroll and Stock Administration team in Santa Barbara. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor and assist with payroll and benefits administration, including stock administration, across Sonos. Working closely with the different functional groups across the Global People Team, Finance and the external payroll and stock admin partners, the Global Payroll Analyst will be exposed to a broad cross-functional stakeholder group with a vast scope for personal development and growth.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn Sonos Payroll and Equity functions and be an important piece of the puzzle for this team’s overall success. While you’ll be reporting to the Senior Global Stock Administrator, who oversees Global Equity and Payroll, you’ll also be partnering with the Americas and International payroll teams on many day-to-day functions and projects. Your role will be split approximately 70% payroll and 30% equity.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide global payroll support to the current International and North America payroll managers
  • Collate and process changes to payments, salaries and benefits internationally
  • Develop and manage key partnerships with internal groups and external payroll providers
  • Verify and audit data processed by external payroll providers
  • Prepare salary, tax and social contribution payments 
  • Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and company policies
  • Reconciliation of payroll data with internal groups: Finance and People Teams
  • Provide timely and accurate response to employees’ payroll related queries
  • Act as the primary backup for other global payroll requirements
  • Monitor and respond to employee equity questions 
  • Work with our external stock plan administrator (Solium) to prepare reports for finance and tax
  • Audit existing demographic information in Shareworks system and reconcile to internal HRB system
Skills You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2-3+ years of related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • Prior payroll experience is required at an entry level position
  • Familiarity with equity administration experience is preferred, but not required
  • A strong affinity with data with a high degree of competence using MS Excel and reporting tools as well as Google Docs

  • Ability to work and understand global pay data
