The GL Accounting Manager position will be a high profile, hands on position that will be responsible for overseeing the global monthly close process. This position will interact and coordinate with colleagues across all regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) as well as various cross-functional departments to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our global close process. The GL Accounting Manager will play a key role in the accounting organization around SOX compliance, process improvement, and standardization of processes globally. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting based in Santa Barbara.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the monthly global close process and drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency
  • Drive consistency and improvement in our global accounting processes and lead implementation of best practices as a public company
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and documentation within Blackline
  • Maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and financial data
  • Monitoring, enforcing, and when appropriate, establishing policies and procedures necessary for mitigating risk, enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with US GAAP
  • Manage the annual audit and quarterly reviews with the external auditors
  • Assist the FP&A team with accounting-related budget items on an ad hoc basis and during the periodic budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Assist ERP implementation team as it relates to the monthly close process
  • Work closely with the Sr. Manager Corporate Accounting on the implementation of strategic plans, projects, programs and systems.  
Skills You’ll Need
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • 6+ years of corporate accounting experience with a combination of public accounting and public company experience (multi-national company experience preferred)
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity
  • Intense attention to detail and the ability to prioritize  
  • Excellent project management and process improvement skillset 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel/systems skills
  • High integrity, self-aware, humble, low ego
  • CPA preferred
