Director, Product Quality

Department: Product Operations

Req#: 3329

Product quality is taken very seriously at Sonos.  Everyone here realizes that we have to constantly exceed expectations with our customers as we build a new global consumer electronics brand.  We’ve done an amazing job so far; just search for “Sonos reviews” to see what people are saying about us.  As we get bigger we can’t maintain this quality through brute force.  We have to build organizations, tools and processes that improve our efficiencies and reduce errors without diluting our focus or stifling the innovation and creativity that have made us successful.

The Director, Product Quality, is responsible for creating, staffing, and leading the Product Quality group (comprising of Hardware Quality, Reliability Prediction and Data Analysis) within the Quality organization at Sonos.  This group is responsible for working with product development and operations teams in creating products that meet our quality standards and the expectations of our customers.  This includes working with cross-functional teams to make sure that we have the appropriate quality standards and processes, that we’re following them, and that we’re always improving for ensuring quality and working with cross functional teams to have good results.  This position is an integral part of the Quality Management team with global responsibility for developing processes and tools to assist product development in designing high quality products.
About You

Our band is large. And while there’s plenty of room for all kinds of personalities and skill sets to succeed, there are certain qualities that will help you thrive here.

Like a never-accept-less work ethic. An exceptionally low ego-to-talent ratio (none of the first, tons of the latter). A relentless craving to push past your limits and try new things. The smarts and the humble confidence to take on big challenges, make mistakes fast and early, embrace tough feedback, then recover quickly with fresh, startlingly perfect solutions. A fearless willingness to defend great work. And a tendency to totally geek out on music.

If this sounds like you, read on and let’s connect soon.
