We are looking for a strong individual and team player to help SONOS uncover trends in our rich data set that we can use to improve our understanding of the impact of our activities. Lead the organization to constantly improve our forecasting performance and understanding of our business drivers through insightful analysis and knowledge of industry leading best practices. Expertize in statistical modeling is required and yet ability to connect numbers with stories is an even more import aspect of this role. A successful candidate will bring the analytical brainpower to the role and over the next few years learn the nuances of our business and be ready to take on roles across the organization. 

A successful candidate will bring 
  • Strong analytical capabilities and relevant technical expertise (SQL, R, Excel modeling). 
  • A passion for understanding not just the “what” (numbers) but the “why” (the experiences we’re creating and how that translates to purchase behaviors).

What You’ll Do
  • Owner of building, maintaining of the regional/country forecast models – baseline + demand drivers and collaborating with the regional forecast teams.
  • Collaboration with global stakeholders on current forecast complexities.
  • Analytical expert driving understanding in our first purchase and follow on purchase patterns for forecast cycles utilizing statistical tools such as R.
  • Longer term analytics around Life Time Value and Cohort behaviors
  • Potentially create longer term statistical forecast models
Skills You’ll Need
  • BA in Business or Finance/Marketing required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • SQL and R – ability to work with large data sets. 
  • Advanced Excel analysis skills coupled with great visuals that tell the business story.
  • Self-starter - demonstrating high energy/creativity, relentless customer-focus, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Passion for SONOS’s mission of filling every home with music.
