The Sonos Data Platform and Processes team is looking for a curious analyst who enjoys guiding business decisions by interpreting and visualizing large scale data and outputs. You will synthesize terabytes of information for business partners at all levels and work closely with teams across the company to help them mine as much value and insight out of their data as possible. You will use both existing and new visualization techniques and technologies to build insightful analytics that span all business data in the company.  You will help us build out our Data Platform to enable us to leverage all of our rich data in ways that we haven’t even thought of yet.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the marketing, product, digital, and finance organization throughout the lifecycle of the product and customer journey.
  • Extract data from various data sources; perform exploratory data analysis, cleanse, reshape, and aggregate data.
  • Develop and deliver both regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards for leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Evangelize data analytics best practices among peers and stakeholders.
  • Lead discussions with business partners to define business questions and recommend appropriate methods to address business questions; translate unstructured strategic questions into structured analysis plan.

Skills You’ll Need
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools: PowerBI, MicroStrategy; 2+ years of experience in Tableau is a must.
  • 3+ years of experience in working with relational databases:  SQL Server, Snowflake. 
  • 3+ years of experience extracting, manipulating and analyzing data to recommend and/or take action. 
  • 3+ years of experience documenting business requirements, processes and workflows 
  • Ability to work across functional areas to develop effective business solutions that align with company and business unit/department objectives (3-5 years)
