You are a fully dedicated copy helping Sonos Art Department in our Santa Barbara office. You support and ensure consistency of the voice, tone and language of creative communications, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners around the world to design, develop, launch and grow our products, services and user base. You are a writer and wordsmith comfortable with bringing content strategy, information architecture and creative direction to life. You are a storyteller with a diverse portfolio and broad exposure to a variety of styles from CRM, editorial, internal and brand comms. This role reports to the Head of Content & Brand Voice.

What You’ll Do
  • Write short and long-form product and brand copy for mobile, digital and traditional mediums
  • Communicate complicated technology topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience
  • Inspire, rally and co-create with internal and external designers, strategists and technologists
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing, Product Marketing, Engineering, Public Relations, Art, Research, Insights, Business Development, and Internal teams. 
Skills You’ll Need
  • Copywriting experience at world class agencies, technology brands and startups
  • Developed grammar, editing and proofreading abilities
  • Contributed to product strategy, design, development and marketing
  • Written for global campaigns, press communications and go-to-market initiatives
  • An accomplished verbal communicator and presenter
  • 2 – 3 years of copy experience 
  • Comfortable with functional, aspirational and editorial writing styles
  • An excellent program and project manager
  • Very familiar with art direction and visual design principles
  • Based in our Santa Barbara Office
