China Offline Sales Director

The China Offline Sales Director will be fully responsible for all off-line sales management cross the country, including both retail and channel sales. This person will serve as a key member on the China management team and will be expected to implement and enhance best-of-class processes, procedures, and relationships within the Sonos Authorized Store partners and stores of other channel, thus positioning Sonos as a world-class company with the best customer experience in the marketplace.

The primary responsibility of a Director of Sales, China Region is delivering Sonos products to end users. Sonos measures and rewards performance based on end user purchases, not channel purchases, ensuring partner & dealer satisfaction and an efficient supply chain.

What You’ll Do
  • Determines offline sales strategy for specific China market segments including Sonos Authorized Store, regional CE retailer, A/V custom retail, and custom integrators.
    • Identify and choose new channel partners.
    • Manage all aspects of existing accounts with the goal of increasing sell-through volume.
  • Recruit, motivate and manage a team of channel managers, store managers and retail specialists to achieve sales objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of SAS partner, retailer and integrator relationships with a focus on maintaining key executive relationships.
  • In conjunction with the China Managing Director and Sonos Marketing team, manage the market development plans.
    • Maximize SAS partner and retailer advertising.
    • Develop and execute in-store display strategies.
    • Plan training programs for the channel.
  • Responsible for delivering accurate rolling forecasts for the channel, delivered monthly.

Skills You’ll Need
  • Proven track record of offline management experience, preferring Consumer Electronics industry
  • Deep understanding of consumer electronics channels in China and experiential marketing.
  • Established successful retail relationships and the know-how to succeed in a variety of retail and custom integrator environments.
  • Built and managed successful and effective sales organizations, experienced in both large and small organizations. Experience in environment of rapid and continual growth is highly desired.
  • Proven track record of pushing inventory turns as close to the theoretical level as possible.
  • Can convey to SAS and channel partners the strategic importance of embracing new products and technologies beyond the resulting revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to “roll up the sleeves” when needed while at the same time demonstrated the ability to think strategically for the long term company success.
