As Sonos continues its rapid market expansion and growth in Europe, we are looking for a Business Development Manager DACH, Poland & DTC to support our growth strategy. This role is focused on developing new business opportunities within trade verticals we currently do not operate as well as developing new Business-to-Business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing the strategy by which we will enter new business opportunities and establishing and developing relationships at all levels within the business. Internally you will work closely with all functions (Field Team, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Legal, etc.) to ensure that strategies are being executed to grow the business.
The core purpose of this role is to develop and enact the strategy by which we will enter new revenue streams.

The role reports into the Sales Director (AT/CH/PL + DTC)  and works closely with the regional Business Development Director.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop the strategies by which we will enter new channels (i.e. DIY, Furniture and Living, Loyalty Programs, etc);
  • Assess markets and define current and future business opportunities;
  • Drive Sonos’ business and increase our revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities with partners (i.e. Smart Home, Telco, etc);
  • Build and expand the presence of the Sonos brand in your relevant market;
  • Lead pan-European business options if these are initiated in your market;
  • Track emerging trends;
  • Recommend new products and services;
  • Propose and develop new strategic partnerships;
  • Lead the day to day work of developing and launching new partnerships;
  • Build and develop meaningful relationships to exceed corporate growth goals;
  • Provide channel insights and contribute to the sell-through forecast process;
  • Collaborate with marketing to create a marketing strategy for each new business opportunity;
  • Work closely with your operations partners to ensure forecasts are met and orders are being delivered on time;
  • Allocate your time to ensure you are impacting the partners with the most potential and driving business forward;
  • Partner with other Account Managers and Sales leaders on initiatives (new product launches, promotions, price changes) to ensure team alignment;
  • Work closely with other Business Development Managers in other countries and the Global Business Development team to align on strategy and execution;
  • Ability to clearly articulate the business and digging into the root cause (inputs vs outputs).

Skills You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of 6 years proven success in Business Development, Sales or Marketing;
  • Proactive mindset and driven to exceed assigned performance metrics;
  • Strong relationship building skills, preferably with a strong existing network that can be leveraged for Sonos business purposes;
  • Impeccable knowledge of our market (both existing and new);
  • Data Driven mindset and attitude;
  • Thorough understanding of e-commerce/Direct-To-Consumer;
  • Impeccable German and very good English language skills, both in writing and verbally;
  • Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time.
