Accounting Analyst

Sonos is searching for an Accounting Analyst to join our team. As an Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, recording, and reporting operating expenses for the company. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, very organized, have a positive outlook, and be curious by nature. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and will sit in our beautiful office in Santa Barbara, CA.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with FP&A and regional accounting teams
  • Improve and maintain monthly OPEX reports and help analyze balance sheet and income statement trends
  • Responsible for month end close activities related to accrual accounting and other general ledger areas
  • Act as key liaison between the Corporate Accounting team and the Accounts Payable team
  • Roll up sleeves and be a resource to step into operational Accounts Payable processes when asked and help drive further process improvements   
  • Maintain balance sheet accounts reconciliations within Blackline
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policy, SOX, and US GAAP
  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure audit requirements are met 
  • Assist in ERP implementation testing
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, as needed
Skills You’ll Need
Basic qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics, economics, business or finance 
  • 2+ years of accounting experience at a public company
  • High attention to detail and general technical prowess
  • Strong Excel skills along with ability to problem solve, analyze, and present data in simple format
Preferred qualifications: 
  • Experience with Blackline and/or SAP a plus
  • A strong desire to learn and grow personally and professionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving atmosphere in a very team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Has a confident and humble attitude while delivering top notch performance
