Account Manager, Japan

Be responsible for leading our sales and channel efforts in the region into our top retail accounts, building key account plans. As the local key account, key partner champion – with an innate feel for the brand, brand strategy coupled with deep understanding of our retailer’s strategy, business and shopper audience.

This role will be working closely with marketing and other internal functions to ensure that relevant needs of the key accounts are met and goals / objectives of Sonos and our key accounts are aligned and maximized / optimized.

This role will report to GM of Japan directly, and hold the stakeholders internal and external accountable including account partner, other function leaders and peers within the region and global team.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop, build, deliver category-led annual account plans with country head that establish and anchor our strategic partnerships, and include our core sales objectives, key priorities, key initiatives and partner commitment/ support in support of overall Sonos business and channel objectives.
  • Develop new account partners with the country head.
  • Execute the daily sales operation to expand the business with all channel key accounts promote sell revenue.
  • Manage the third party vendor to maintain the content on eComm platforms (Sonos.com) to develop digital customer experience that aligns with our brand strategy and enhance the education contents.
  • Working closely with marketing and retail experience role to manage, land and execute all channel / retail programs, promotions and activities specific to our key accounts.
  • Ongoing analysis and reporting and improvement of key account business performance, market trends and needs to stay on track and can make the necessary adjustments to get back on track if needed.
  • Full accountability of sales forecast and expectations for national account performance. Including improving the level and quality of sales reporting from our key partners, and the provision of business insights from those partners.
  • Working with Operations manage the inventory levels to ensure agreed weeks of cover and availability targets across our national accounts.
  • Working across the country head to build in relevant processes and practices to build a sales-led, customer-led culture
Skills You’ll Need
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of customer facing roles within the wider consumer industry, especially building and managing
  • key retail account relationships.
  • Broad professional background within Sales, Product / Category management or Marketing.
  • Entrepreneurial background is preferred.
  • Story-teller, relationship builder and strong people judgment
