Sonos is looking for an Account Manager (AM) to support our Custom Integrators, Security Dealers, and New Home Builders in order to achieve our goal: Inspire the world to listen better.

As an AM, you will be responsible for establishing and developing relationships at all levels within your account base. Internally, you will work closely with your market counterpart, the Regional Trainer, to ensure we provide a high-level support for each one of our strategic partners.  

The core purpose of this role is drive sustained sales growth with your established partners while identifying new business opportunities in non-traditional Consumer Electronics channels (Home Builders, HVAC & Security Dealers). What You’ll Do

Role experience – a day in the life

  • Relationship Management - Build and develop dealer relationships to exceed corporate growth goals.
  • Forecasting - Provide channel insights and contribute to the sell-through forecast process by developing an intimate understanding of your partner's business.
  • Regional Marketing - Use smart business tools to allocate market development funds to key dealers that can drive incremental growth
  • New Business Development - Seek dealer opportunities in our Security & HVAC channel by building relationships with new partners.
  • Resource Management - Create a game plan that allows you to use your time effectively to ensure you are impacting the dealers with the most potential.
  • Field Partnership - Forge an important bond by working side-by-side with your regional Regional Trainer counterpart to ensure a high level of training and support.

Role debut – early success
  • Establish a rapport and planning cadence with priority accounts and retail doors to deliver a partner experience that is aligned with our company strategies and exceeds partner expectations.
  • Co-create an activity plan for your market inclusive of input from your Regional Trainer counterpart.
  • Make significant progress within the Custom Integrator channel through identifying partners that have the most opportunity for growth
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with new dealers primarily in our Builders, Security, HVAC, Electrical integration channels
  • Provide useful insight into the progress in your market by identifying what is driving your business, its' root-cause, and craft an action plan to improve results.
  • Report your findings in a fact based concise manner through our bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting rhythms.

Skills You’ll Need
Role profile – what it takes
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Highly organized.  
  • Between 5-10 years of customer facing Sales or Marketing experience
  • Positive relationship building skills
  • Commitment to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Proficient oral and written communications skills.  
  • Self-motivator that thrives in an ever-changing environment
  • Progressive outside of the box thinker
